How have you witnessed your own personal desires of action, initiative, fairness, integrity and trust challenged in the small group or unit decision setting? [FGD]
In my internship at the helm society, I learned that my personal desires for action are challenged or limited to my own level of critical thinking. The opportunity for initiative is always present. While there is not a status quo for fairness in the environment, the environment challenges both my integrity and trust. My position in the organization grants me access to a high level of administrative access to many of the organizations accounts. From recruiting platforms to financial access, I am endowed with responsibilities that not anyone would have.
I learned this when I was given access to financial accounts in order to pay for services as well as administrative PayPal credentials so I can create rules for payment methods.
This learning matters because it provides me feedback for my own personal growth.
In light of this learning, there are other types of personal growth that can be discussed, but the recognition of these growths are what really matter.
