Day – 23 Foreclosure:

Write a poem or short story about someone who has lost or is about to lose their home.

It is not rocket science. Life is a game played strategically. You can never win all but you can definitely lose all. This is a story about a beautiful young woman named Clair and her home.

Clair was a young woman who had lost her job a year ago due to the bankruptcy of her employer. She was only 25 years old was successful at what she did but ended up in a rough situation. She is an only child who had no relatives and lost her parents to a terrorist attack when she was 16. She took care of herself and avoided foster care. She knew her only way to make it in this world was to rely on no one but herself. At the age of 21 she graduated from the Graduate program at Lipscomb University. She used her EMBA in Computer Security to work for the company Crass. Crass was a Supply Chain Company in West Newberry Massachusetts. By the age of 23 she had purchased her first home. It was when she turned 24 that Crass lost business to the corporate giants. When she lost her job, she had enough money to survive for 8 months. She looked and looked and was unfortunate and could not find an employer to hire her. By her 25th birthday, she received a letter from the bank with the word FORECLOSURE stamped on top of the letter. It was then when she knew it was over for her. She kept looking but no one would hire her. Soon, the sheriff came to remove her from the premises of her home. She had lost it all.
