How do you feel when you love someone that does not love you back?
The sad truth about love is that it is the one attribute about humans that can create the most joy and most sorrow. To really understand this, you need to understand what it means to love. In my experience, I define love as the emotion that develops in your person as you interact with an acquaintance build a relationship; it is an emotion that can be created without the initial intention. To love someone, a relationship needs to be formed whether that is a friendship, partnership, or familiar acquaintance is up to the individuals. As time moves and the relationship matures, love can be created. However, not everyone will generate this feeling. In order for love to be formed, an interest needs to be produced in the process. If that interest is never produced, then love will never form.
My personal feelings about someone not reciprocating love has changed over the years. In order for me to love someone, I need to first learn who this person is. I have found that I am attracted to people’s personalities more than their looks. Many times I have fallen in love with someone and have been to chicken to say anything. Because of this, I have not received the love back and that really hurts my heart as well as my soul.
