Day 17

Where have I seen the need for the redistribution or the acquisition of new resources that could really matter to this internship organization? What is the nature of those resources human, technological, financial, social, political, cultural and physical? How do others in the organization mobilize or gather similar resources? What can I do to learn to mobilize resources?  [MR]

I learned that there is a need for the acquisition of a new recruiting board (Resource) for the organization. Currently, there is a need for recruiting and the candidates that are applying to the current recruiting board are not satisfactory enough. The organization is in the growing phase. We continually have more work that needs a person to accomplish it and we do not have the sufficient task force to complete it. At this time, we are building process. The process is important because it helps us define goals and will allow us to expand even further. My coworkers in the organization are all working at capacity. As an intern, I am working directly with the CEO and we are building this process as I am working on recruiting more people to work for the organization. I am able to mobilize resources by working together with Joshes administrative assistant and scheduling candidates for interviews to take on tasks that are currently on hold but need to be completed. A different type of resource we are trying to acquire is financial resource. We are trying to recruit more CEO to be a part of the organizations network. All of this gets recorded to a process. The Process that I am talking about can be defined as the way of doing things. The organization is already running and is successful; however, there is no documentation for this process. Part of my job as an intern is to document this process not just for keeping a record but also for the comprehension of how the organization is built. In addition to this, we are also using new platforms for project management.

I learn this on a daily basis. It is important to acquire more resources; whether that be in human resource, financial resource, or as plain as technological resource. We are working every day to improve the process of the organization.

This learning matters because this is how the organization progresses and grows.

In light of this learning, the acquisition of new resources is important in a growing economy/ organization.
