“It’s never a good idea to discuss religion or politics with people you don’t really know.” Agree or disagree?
I believe that everyone has his or her opinion. When it comes to religion and politics I think that everyone should be allowed to talk about their beliefs with no repercussions or criticism.
I disagree with the statement “It’s never a good idea to discuss religion or politics with people you don’t really know.” It is a sad truth that people argue and fight over the beliefs that they believe to be true. Often people shy from these topics for the reason of upsetting or aggressively engaging with others.
It is my personal opinion that everyone should be open to the different views that people have on religion and politics. Just because people are open to other people’s views and opinions does not mean that they have to agree. Part of what makes the United States of America such a great democracy is that people are allowed the freedom of speech and that means that they can believe and say what they please. It is our job as citizens to allow them the opportunity to be free to speak our minds with anyone.
